AMW THE BEERQUAY

The beerquay was the quay in Amsterdam where the barrels of beer arrived and the porters who worked the heavy barrels of beer loaded and unloaded. Bierkade was part of the Oudezijdsvoorburgwal, located in the Old Church. The inhabitants of this part of Amsterdam were known as invincible fighters.
